“RULES AND CLUB STATEMENT”  

 

1.           PURPOSE

THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO LEASE HUNTING AREAS AND ITS PROPER USE FOR THE BETTERMENT OF HUNTING CONDITIONS AND FOR THE TEACHING ON GOOD HUNTING PRACTICE. 

 

2.          OFFICERS

THE OFFICERS OF THE CLUB SHALL CONSIST OF A PERMANENT PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT AND FINANCIAL OFFICER. 

 

3.         MEMBERSHIP

CLUB MEMBERSHIP IS BY ANNUAL INVITATION.  MEMBERS MAY BE EXPELLED WITHOUT MEMBERSHIP DUES REFUNDED FOR VIOLATING CLUB RULES, STATE HUNTING LAWS OR PAPER COMPANY LEASE AGREEMENTS.  DUES AMOUNT AND TERMS MAY BE ADJUSTED ANNUALLY. 

4.         SAFETY           

 ALL MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR             

 GUESTS, IN RESPECT TO HUNTER SAFETY, OBSERVING CLUB RULES AND STATE LAWS.  EVERY PERSON ON THE            

 HUNTING LAND DURING THE GUN DEER SEASON MUST WEAR            

 HUNTERS ORANGE AS REQUIRED BY LAW.  EACH HUNTER MUST            

 SIGN IN AND OUT OF HUNTING AREAS.  CHILDREN UNDER 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. 

 

5.         GUEST

EACH MEMBER IS ALLOWED TO HAVE ONE GUEST PER TRIP.  NO ONE GUEST MAY NOT HUNT MORE THAN 7 DAYS PER SEASON TOTAL AND NO MORE THAN 3 OF THOSE IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY AND FEB.  DEPENDANT CHILDREN ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THIS LIMITATION.  GUESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY WITHOUT A MEMBER.  ALL GUESTS INCLUDING FAMILY MEMBERS MUST SIGN IN THE GUEST BOOK AND PAY THE $25 FEE PRIOR TO HUNTING.  PARENTS, CHILDREN, GRAND CHILDREN, AND SPOUSES OF MEMBERS ARE CONSIDER GUEST BUT HUNT WITH NO GUEST FEE. ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 15 MUST HAVE AN ADULT ON THE STAND WITH THEM. ANY HUNTER 16 OR OLDER MUST HAVE A HUNTER’S EDUCATION CERTIFICATE OR A HUNTING LICENSE PER STATE LAW.  GUESTS MAY HUNT ANY AREA NOT SIGNED BY A MEMBER.  GUESTS MAY PIN UNSIGNED AREAS FOR MORNING HUNTS AT 5:00 AM.  GUESTS MUST RETURN TO THE SIGN IN BOARD AND REMOVE THEIR PIN BY 12:00 PM.  GUESTS MAY PIN ANY UNSIGNED AREA FOR THE EVENING HUNT AT 1:00 PM.  ALL PINS, MEMBERS AND GUESTS SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE BOARD AFTER THE EVENING HUNT.  MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR GUEST.  IMPROPER DEER TAKEN OR CLUB RULES BROKEN BY HIS GUEST WILL BE CHARGED TO THE MEMBER. ONLY FAMILY OF MEMBERS MAY HUNT IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY AND FEB.  FAMILY GUESTS ARE NOT TO HUNT THE TROPHY AREA AFTER JANUARY 1.  

6.         GAME MANAGEMENT

MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO HARVEST MATURE DOES ACCORDING TO STATE LAWS.  THE STATE LIMIT OF THREE BUCKS PER HUNTER APPLIES.  BUCKS TAKEN BY GUEST DO NOT COUNT TOWARD THE MEMBERS THREE BUCK LIMIT.  ALL BUCKS SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM OF THREE POINTS ON ONE SIDE.  ONCE A MEMBER OR HIS GUEST KILL ANY BUCK (INCLUDING BUTTON BUCKS), ALL ADDITIONAL BUCKS SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM OF FOUR POINTS ON ONE SIDE.  NO BUTTONS, SPIKES OR FOUR POINTERS ARE TO BE TAKEN.  MEMBERS AND THEIR GUEST ARE ENCOURAGED TO HARVEST ONLY TROPHY BUCKS ALLOWING IMMATURE 6 AND 8 POINTERS TO PASS.  PLEASE DISPOSE OF ALL PREDATORS AS ALLOWED BY LAW.

7.         TROPHY AREA

IN THE SECTION OF THE PROPERTY DESIGNATED AS THE TROPHY AREA, BUCKS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF FOUR POINTS ON ONE SIDE.    THERE IS TO BE ABSOLUTELY NO JOY RIDING YEAR ROUND IN THE TROPHY AREA.  AFTER JAN.1ST OF EACH SEASON, NO GUEST ARE ALLOWED TO HUNT IN THE AREA.  NO ANTERLESS DEER WILL BE TAKEN FROM PLOTS IN THE TROPHY AREA AFTER DECEMBER 15TH. IF A MEMBER OR HIS GUEST VIOLATES A RULE CONCERNING THE TROPHY AREA, THAT MEMBER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO HUNT IN THE TROPHY AREA FOR 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THE VIOLATION.  IF LESS THAN 30 DAYS REMAIN IN THE SEASON THE REMAINING DAYS WILL BE CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT REGULAR GUN SEASON. 

8.         PROPERTY UPKEEP

MEMBERS ARE TO RESPECT THE PROPERTY OWNERS LAND AND THAT OF ADJOINING LANDOWNERS.  PLEASE DO NOT LITTER AND DO YOUR PART TO KEEP THE HOUSE AND PROPERTY CLEAN.  DO NOT DAMAGE PAPER COMPANY PROPERTY INCLUDING TREES AND ROADS.  MEMBERS SHOULD REPORT ANY PROBLEM THEY MAY OBSERVE.

9.         IMPROPER DEER

AN IMPROPER DEER IS (1) ANY BUCK LESS THAN 3 POINTS ON ONE SIDE, THIS INCLUDES BUTTON BUCKS (2) AFTER THE FIRST BUCK PER SEASON, ANY ADDITIONAL BUCKS LESS THAN 4 POINTS ON ONE SIDE (3) IN THE TROPHY AREA ANY BUCK LESS THAN 4 POINTS ON ONE SIDE OR   (4) IN THE TROPHY AREA, A DOE AFTER DEC 15TH FROM A FOOD PLOT.   DOES MAY CONTINUE TO BE HARVESTED FROM PLOTS AFTER DEC. 15TH, OFF THE TROPHY AREA.  FOR THE FIRST IMPROPER DEER TAKEN BY A MEMBER OR HIS GUEST, THE MEMBER WILL BE PLACED ON LEVEL ONE PROBATION FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THE KILL.  NO ACTION OF ANY KIND IS TAKEN ON LEVEL ONE PROBATION.  IT JUST SERVES AS A WARNING.  IF A MEMBER OR HIS GUEST KILLS A SECOND IMPROPER DEER HE WILL BE ON LEVEL 2 PROBATION.  THAT MEANS THE MEMBER WILL LOSE HIS PRIVILEGE FOR HE OR HIS GUEST TO HARVEST UNANTLERED DEER FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND KILL.  IF A MEMBER OR HIS GUEST KILLS A THIRD IMPROPER DEER, THE MEMBER IS FINED $100 AND REMAINS ON PROBATION FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THE THIRD KILL.  IF AN IMPROPER DEER IS TAKEN IN THE TROPHY AREA, IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, THE MEMBER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO HUNT IN THE TROPHY AREA FOR "30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THE KILL".  IF LESS THAN 30 DAYS REMAIN IN THE SEASON, THE REMAINING DAYS WILL BE CARRIED FORWARD TO THE NEXT REGULAR GUN SEASON.  IF THE IMPROPER DEER HAS SPIKES OF 1 INCH OR LESS, THE HUNTER WILL BE ON PROBATION BUT CAN CONTINUE TO HUNT IN THE TROPHY AREA.  PROBATION STATUS FOR EACH MEMBER WILL BE SHOWN ON THE ROSTER. SPECIAL CHILD EXCEPTION: NO DEER WILL BE CONSIDER TO BE IMPROPER IF TAKEN BY A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 13 WHO HAS NEVER HARVESTED A DEER.  NO PENALTY WILL BE IMPOSED UPON THE MEMBER THE CHILD WAS HUNTING WITH AND THE HARVEST WILL NOT COUNT AS A HARVEST FOR THE MEMBER.  EXAMPLE: A CHILD HUNTING WITH A MEMBER HARVESTS A 4 POINT.  THE MEMBER CONTINUES TO HUNT BY THE RULES ABOVE AS THOUGH THE CHILD'S HARVEST HAD NOT OCCURRED. 

 

10.       WORK DAYS

EACH MEMBER IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND A MINIMUM OF THREE SCHEDULED WORK DAYS PER MEMBERSHIP YEAR.  FOR EACH DAY LESS THAN THREE, THE MEMBER WILL BE FINED $100 PER DAY.  ONLY APPROVED POSTED CLUB PROJECTS CAN BE COMPLETED TO COUNT AS MAKE UP DAYS.  THE MEMBER MUST PAY THE FINE BEFORE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO HUNT.  THE SCHEDULE OF WORK DAYS WILL BE POSTED ON THE CLUBS WEB SITE IN SHUTTERFLY. THE LIST OF MAKE UP DAY PROJECTS WILL ALSO BE POSTED THERE. 

 

11.       DRAWING FOR STANDS

IN AN EFFORT TO BE COMPLETELY FAIR TO ALL MEMBERS A DRAWING   WILL BE HELD EACH EVENING TO DETERMINE THE ORDER IN WHICH WE CHOOSE OUR STAND LOCATIONS.  THE DRAWING WILL BEGIN THE EVENING BEFORE OPENING DAY OF GUN SEASON.  DRAWINGS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE CLUB HOUSE AT 8:00 P.M.  MEMBERS DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO BE IN THE DRAWING BUT MUST HUNT THE NEXT MORNING.  MEMBERS ARE FREE TO MOVE THEIR PINS TO UNSIGNED AREAS DURING THE DAY BUT MUST NOT PIN MORE THAN ONE AREA AT A TIME.  ALL PINS MUST BE REMOVED AFTER THE EVENING HUNT.  GUESTS ARE NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN THE DRAWING.  PLEASE DO NOT PIN AN AREA UNLESS YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE HUNTING IT. SAME RULES APPLY FOR TURKEY SEASON. AREA HUNTED DURING TURKEY SEASON MUST BE PINED AS IN DEER SEASON AT THE SIGN OUT BOARD. 

 

12.    BAITING

IN ADDITION TO STATE LAWS CONCERNING BAITING, THERE SHALL BE NO BAITING WITHIN 100 YARDS AND/OR WITHIN THE LINE OF SIGHT OF ANY CLUB PLOTS OR CLUB PROVIDED HUNTING STANDS DURING THE DEER OR TURKEY SEASONS.

 

13.  HUNTING PRESSURE/HUMAN PRESENCE

A MEMBER OR HIS GUEST MUST NOT SCOUT, VISIT, WALK, DRIVE ON OR IN ANY WAY DISTURB ANY PLOT FROM OCTOBER 15TH UNTIL FEBRUARY 10TH ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY THAT HE HAS NOT PINNED TO HUNT.

CAMERAS CAN BE PUT UP ANYWHERE ON THE LEASE DURING THE ENTIRE YEAR, BUT CAN NOT BE CHECKED DURING THE HUNTING SEASON UNLESS YOU ARE SIGNED OUT TO HUNT THAT AREA. EVEN IF CAMERAS ARE ON GREEN FIELDS OR IN THE WOODS, YOU MUST BE SIGNED OUT AND ACTUALLY HUNTING THE AREA IN ORDER TO CHECK CAMERAS DURING THE HUNTING SEASON. YOU CAN’T CHECK OUT AN AREA, CHECK CAMERAS, AND THEN CHECK OUT ANOTHER AREA TO HUNT.

MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SHARE PICTURES TAKEN DURING THE HUNTING SEASON WITH ALL MEMBERS AFTER THE SEASON IS OVER. SHARING PICTURES TAKEN IN THE OFF SEASON DURING THE OFF SEASON IS ALSO ENCOURAGED. THIS WILL HELP ALL MEMBERS TO UNDERSTAND THE QUALITY AND NUMBER OF OUR DEER HERD.

IF A MEMBER OR HIS GUEST VIOLATE ANY OF THESE RULES, THE MEMBER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO HUNT THE CLUB PROPERTY FOR 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THE VIOLATION. IF LESS THAN 30 DAYS REMAIN IN THE SEASON, THE REMAINING DAYS WILL BE CARRIED FORWARD TO THE NEXT REGULAR GUN SEASON.

ALL NEW CLUB MEMBERS MUST  READ THE CLUB BYLAWS  IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS THOSE MUST BE CLARIFIED BEFORE JOINING.  NEW MEMBER WILL SIGN AN APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP THAT INCLUDES A STATEMENT THEY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE BYLAWS..   

CLUB OFFICERS MAY PUT A MEMBER ON PROBATION LEVEL 1-2-OR 3 FOR ANY VIOLATION OF STATE GAME LAWS OR CLUB BYLAWS.
